TradieFinder was created by a Tradie for a Tradie!
The TradieFinder.com idea was conceived in the summer of 2004 whilst I was driving from a jobsite in Frankston, back home to the inner suburbs of Melbourne.
As a working tradie running a plastering business, I always found it challenging having to deal with constant on and off the job daily pressure, the early starts and the long hours were fine! Keeping the boys happy as well as the clients, whilst working within what could sometimes be tough deadlines was also OK. I have also learnt to deal with maintaining a good balance between work and my own personal life. However, what I found difficult, as I am sure you all can relate to, was the time and energy spent always searching for the next job…
In order to gain stable work I turned to advertising. The work started to pour in, however, I found I was travelling further distances and was spending more money. The advertising was expensive so I was taking on added jobs just to cover this new expense; I was going back to where I started.
I thought there has to be another way!
Standing here today, I am happy to say I have found a solution to the problem.
TradieFinder.com was created by a tradie for a tradie. I know how frustrating it can be to spend hard-earned money on advertising and either get jobs from areas too far out or at a time when I have too much work.
